Tomasz Kraj

Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow

Rev. Tomasz Kraj, the priest of Archidiocese of Cracow, Associate Professor of Moral theology and Bioethics at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow. In 1999 prepared his doctorate at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. The dissertation “Scientific Progress as a Moral Problem. Implications in Modern Genetics” (in English) was about the genetic manipulations which could not be recognized as scientific progress. In 2010 was his habilitation in Cracow (postdoctoral thesis: “Accepted Limits of Genetic Enhancement in Humans” – in Polish). He teaches Bioethics and the Art of Confession (the latter for future priests). He is interested in moral problems linked to genetics, particularly in the role of Metaphysics in morality.
